Snapped Cable on Steall Bridge

Last Wednesday saw the wire bridge over the water of Nevis at Steall Glen Nevis closed for the foreseeable future.
Rangers acted swiftly to close the bridge and erect notices for walkers after being alerted to the snapped cable.
Rangers have always ensured that it is regually serviced as safety is paramount; however it is thought in this instance that somehow it has been overloaded resulting in the cable breaking.
Officials are working with all interested parties to ensure the bridge is reopened as soon as possible.
