National newspaper, The Independent, recently published its list of the top 50 Country Pubs in the UK. The list was put together by a panel including Roger Protz, editor of the Good Beer Guide, and Peter Irvine of Scotland The Best and the man behind the Edinburgh Hogmanay Party.

No list of best pubs would be complete without Glencoe's very own Clachaig Inn. And sure enough, this famous hostelry appears on the list at number 25. Having been run by the Daynes family for over 25 years, the inn has created a name for itself through the quality and range of beers and whisky on sale and the legendary atmosphere in the Boots Bar.
The inn has won a number of awards over the years including CAMRA's best pub in Scotland and Les Routiers Best Pub in the UK.
