Glencoe Mountain Resort is Scotland’s original snowsports destination, the first ski lift was built in 1956. We now have 7 lifts and 19 pistes to suit every level of skier and boarder. From the gentle beginner slopes on the plateau to the steepest and longest slopes in Scotland, Glencoe Mountain Resort has an incredible variety of terrain. Glencoe Mountain Resort also has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world including Buachaille Etive Mor, the Mamores and on a clear day all the way to Ben Nevis. As well as our great winter activities there are also plenty of exciting things to do in summer at Glencoe Mountain Resort from biking to wildlife watching or just enjoying some great home cooked food from our café.
SUMMER
We have lots to offer in Summer with extensive bike trails suitable for gentle rides through to adrenalin filled DH trails. The access chairlift runs in summer and is fitted with bike carriers. From the top of the chair you can choose the steep and technical black track or the much easier new red trail. Glencoe Mountain Resort has a brand new fleet of hire bikes from KONA so whether you want to take a gentle ride along the West Highland Way or take on our DH track we have bikes to suit; children’s bikes are also available for the perfect family outing.
Our log cabin café offers home-cooked food from 8.30am - 8pm. We also have a fully licensed bar so you can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink while admiring the fantastic view from our panoramic windows.
There are plenty of other activities to do at Glencoe Mountain Resort in summer; our chairlift allows easy access to the mountain for hiking, climbing and paragliding. The area is renowned for its scenery and wildlife and the chairlift gets you high above the valley and into the tranquility of the mountains effortlessly. If you fancy trying something a little different we also run Archery classes!
WINTER
The Glencoe Mountain Resort ski school offers lessons in skiing and snowboarding throughout the winter from beginner to advanced, either in small groups or private instruction.
As well as the great natural terrain there is also a selection of kickers, rails and other board park features on the mountain.
Sledging is free at Glencoe! Just buy a chairlift ticket to get up to the slopes and we will provide you with sledges to use while you are up there.
